Pre-filter, removes hard sediments, sand, dirt and rust from water, and protects solenoids, valves and inlets to the ice maker. No Carbon, No Scale Control. 
Compatible with all models. Typically used before AR-10000-P, AR-20000-P or AR-40000-P Systems to increase the life of these filters.
